Chocolate-Orange-Blissballs

Today is the Senza Limiti meetup in Dortmund in the so called Dojo, so same location which prooved to be perfect in 2014 already. Start is 14:00 and I am so excited as such events are alwas so much fun. Maybe we will even see us there?! This deliciousness here will be my food contribution for the longhaircrazy ladies. And therefore I need the recipe to be here so that I can answer "Already online!" if I get asked. Voilá!

Ingredients
Für den Teig / For the dough:
Haferflocken / oats
Kokosraspel / shredded coconut
Kokosöl / coconutoil
Kakaobutter / cacaobutter
I love the combination of peanut and almond)
Honig oder (Ahorn-)Sirup / honey or (maple-)sirup
1/2 Tafel dunkle Schokolade, gehackt und/oder Kakaonibs / 50g chopped dark chocolateand or cacaonibs
Vanille / vanilla
Orangenschalenabrieb einer Bioorange / orangezest of one organic orange
Spritzer Orangensaft / sprinkle of orangejuice
Für die Glasur / For the glaze:
Kokosöl / coconutoil
Kakaopulver / cacaopowder
Ahornsirup / Maplesirup
(dunkle Schokolade / dark chocolate)
getrockneten Orangenschalenabrieb / dried orangezest

How to
Maybe you already guessed it, the basic recipe for theses blissballs is that of my beloved oat cookiedough balls. Just with additional orange zest and a sip of juice. Sidenote: I use a small serrated knife to rasp off the zest. Like this the particles are really nice and small.
Got the zest and the other dry ignredients mixed? Than add the nutbutter, sweetener and the melted coconutoil and cacaobutter. The dark chocolate is part of the dried ingredients, chop it first. If you want the cookies to be really clean, use cacaonibs only instead.
The dough you created is supposed to be rather solid and sticky while still a bit crumbly because the oil is still liquid and the oats are not yet soaked with it. Therefore let the dough settle for at least an hour (more does not matter), best in a cold place. Then you form balls with your hands. Don't worry when the dough is so hard now from the cold that you need to brake it loose with a spoon. The dough should form well with the warmth of your hands. When you are finished put the balls again into the cold to harden.

The clean glaze is without dark chocolate and won't harden so much as the version with additional dark chaocolate. For the blissballs I prefer a mix of my clean glaze with dark chcolate as t gets solid when cold and won't melt immediatly in your hands. For cakes I prefer the clean version as it is less hard and can bet cut easier.

Loved on top of a smoothie or porridge. Maybe you guessed it, this here is chocolate orange porridge.

As long as the glaze is still soft you can sprinkle on decoration, just like I did here with dried orange zest. I did not make this on my own, I bought it (can be found in the supermarket in the place of the spices). Mine is from dm from Alnatura and I really like it. But maybe it was a seasonal article... If you can't get your hand on dried orange zest try chopped pistacios or shredded coconut. Or pomgranate, really one of my alltime favourite combinations!
